Position Description:

Kalman & Company is seeking an experienced website administrator to support the DOD Shelf Life Program Website. This position will require strong technical support skills, have working knowledge of systems management, infrastructure support, assigned automated information systems and Windows. This is a full-time, salaried opportunity offering full benefits.

The DOD Shelf Life Program Website is the primary source of shelf life information and the only source for shelf life extension information. This website is used by DLA, the Military Services, other Federal Agencies (i.e., General Services Administration, National Aeronautics and Space Administration), Foreign Military Sales customers, and contractors.

Specific Duties:

  • Provide end-user operation and maintenance support for DOD Shelf Life Website.
  • Answer technical website related Feedbacks received from customers.
  • Troubleshoot any issues pertaining to the DOD Shelf Life Website to include, but not limited to, failed web service between Shelf Life Extension System (SLES) and FLIS or SLES and JACKS; SLES data corruption; MQCSS duplicate records displayed, SLES account issues.
  • Participate in DOD Shelf Life Board meetings, SLES weekly meetings, and any meetings with J62 as necessary when SLES or the DOD Shelf Life Website is a topic on the agenda.
  • Provide recommendations on improvements to the DOD Shelf Life Website.
  • Coordinate data exchange requirements between SLES & FLIS and SLES & JACKS
  • Provide end user operation and maintenance support As required As directed by the PM
  • Troubleshoot issues with the Feedback Tracking Tool. As required As directed by the PM5.
  • Liaison with J62, the DOD Shelf Life Program Manager, the DOD Shelf Life Website developers, and SLIM Administrators when necessary to resolve issues with the DOD Shelf Life Website.
  • Assist DOD Shelf Life Program Manager and DOD Shelf Life Board members with following up and closing out Shelf Life Feedbacks and Challenges.
  • Provide monthly SLES and Feedback data pulls to the DOD Shelf Life Program Manager.
  • Provide monthly metrics for SLES and the Feedback Tracking Tool.
  • Required Education/Qualifications:
  • US Citizenship Required
  • The ability to pass a required background check.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in technical support.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Windows.
  • Preferred Education/Qualifications:
  • Remedy experience is a plus
