ACRC employs approximately 700 persons working out of eight offices in a ten-county area. ACRC is one of 21 Regional Centers in California.
COMPENSATION
The below is dependent upon experience and education.
- Service Coordinator I: $21.01 - $26.78/hr.
- Service Coordinator IIIB: $24.63 - $31.43/hr. (must possess a master's degree and 1-year social work experience)
- Service Coordinator IIIA: $27.19 - $34.71/hr. (must a possess a master's degree and 2-years post-masters experience)
THE POSITION AND JOB SUMMARY
ACRC is seeking a Service Coordinator-Developmental Center Specialist in the Sacramento office. This position provides consultation, advocacy, resource information and other assistance to clients who may be an alleged offender and may require a civil commitment due to competency proceedings or their acute crisis support needs. These clients may reside in State Developmental Centers and/or Community Placement Plan (CPP) developed Community Care Facilities. Duties include providing consultation services to case management staff regarding a client's suitability for placement under a legal hold; and participation in community activities to include conducting trainings and participating in committees to promote collaboration with outside agencies and development of a network of contacts to improve services to clients involved with the criminal justice system and/or that have acute crisis support needs; required to report to DDS on client updates; will coordinate and facilitate client's step down plan upon discharge from the DC; and will remain with the case for the first 12-months of step down. The DC Specialist will act as a liaison between case management staff and specialized crisis service vendors, as assigned and act as a Facility Liaison to specialized homes and conduct quarterly assurance activities, as assigned. This position requires travel as clients may be residing in different areas of California.

Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must possess: a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or a related field; demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills; and have strong time management and organization skills. One year of professional experience in social work or a related field (preferably in the field of developmental disabilities) is preferred. Other requirements and qualifications may apply.
