Zantech is looking for a SQL Systems Engineer to lead all the support for the multiple Microsoft SQL databases for this upcoming Army program.

Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:

  • This person will ensure that the team updates and maintains software and security patches for both COTS and in house software, all operating systems and hardware for both on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Ensure operational availability of SQL database services is integrated with the least possible downtime, some of these databases with sensitive information are encrypted.
  • Ensure all planning, change management and testing are completed with supporting documentation, team/client communication and with minimal downtime.
  • Metrics are updated, maintained and provided.

Required Experience or Knowledge of the following technologies/functions:

  • 10+ years’ experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific or technical discipline
  • IAT II Certification - CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP
  • Advanced MS SQL 2008 R2 Administration
  • Configuration and Tuning, Advanced Windows 2008R2 tuning for MS SQL 2008R2
  • Intermediate/Advanced Windows 2008R2 Administration and Configuration
  • Advanced DISA Gold, Army Gold Master configurations on MS SQL 2008 Databases
  • Intermediate App Detective MS SQL 2008 scanning and remediating according to Industry best practices

Required Security Clearance:

  • Active SECRET or higher clearance based on contract requirements
