What Does the Job Look Like?

This individual will be responsible for leading all technical aspects of data management engagements. S/he will set best practices, standards and procedures for the Data Platform and implement the selected technologies. Additionally, s/he will contribute to technical and system architectural planning and implementation, managing the integration of the increment solutions with the enterprise data warehouse architecture.

  • Senior architecture expert, responsible for the integrity of the overall architecture, coordinating architectural design and construction activities amongst the multiple framework teams (Business/Data Analysis, Data Architecture, Data Integration, Analytics)
  • Responsible for ensuring that the architecture models are developed and maintained. Provides guidance and approach to architecture definition to ensure that critical issues such as latency, performance, data freshness, unit of work processing, etc., are addressed.
  • Lead the design and development of the overall architecture and all aspects of the Data Platform components (Integration Services, Data Architecture)
  • Ensure suitability of overall architecture to the functional (business), technical and non-functional requirements
  • Responsible for designing and assisting implementation of all cross-framework services (security, business rules handling, etc.).
  • Responsible for defining appropriate unit, system, performance and user acceptance test strategies and standards.
  • Responsible for leading the effort to coordinate work with critical path project resources.
  • Ensure the integrity, elegance and maintainability of the overall Data Platform architecture
Who Are You?
  • 10+ years' experience in deploying and managing enterprise information delivery initiatives within distributed environment(s)
  • Technologist with a strong background in the architecture, design, and development of the Data Integration Layer
  • Strong Database architectural and Data Warehousing experience across multiple technologies, including SQL-Based databases (e.g., Snowflake, Microsoft, Oracle, RedShift)
  • Preferred experience with Snowflake and AWS and all components associated with each platform
  • Experience with Data Integration technologies and methodologies (e.g., Fivetran, Matillion, AWS Glue), including API design and development
  • Strong Experience with Cloud-based technologies (e.g., AWS)
  • Proven experience with data modeling and source code controls
  • Expert level knowledge of data model design, development, maintenance, and support.
  • Ability to work with data analysis users, IT Business Analysts and all levels of the organization including senior leadership.
  • Gather requirements, apply strong analysis and design skills to build system specifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication.
  • Provide proper technical documentation to satisfy all corporate guidelines
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and design new technology or methods in data warehousing (e.g., data mesh) and integrate these trends with the company's overall Data development plans to provide sound recommendations to the data strategy.
  • Strong problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with laws and regulations that are applicable to the job function
