The IT Support Specialist performs traditional helpdesk-style technical support and participates in IT projects. They'll work as part of a team while receiving mentorship and support from the IT Manager and Senior IT Support Specialists.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills since you'll be communicating with customers and team members frequently.
  • Basic understanding of computer networking. You'll need to know what a router, IP address, subnet and DNS is.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting IT and related issues.
  • Love of movies. Make sure to mention your favorite technology related movie in a response below to be considered for the position.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing traditional helpdesk-style IT support to customers.
  • Participating in projects like computer, server, or networking upgrades.
  • Escalating tickets when more advanced knowledge is required.
  • Self-guided learning. The desire to learn more about things you encounter while working on tickets and projects.
