Level 2 IT Support Technician

LaSalle Network is currently partnering with a client that specializes in managed IT Services and is looking for an experienced Level 2 Support Technician to join their team long term. This person will have the responsibility of developing standard operating procedures for the Level 2 Help Desk Team. This role requires its candidates to have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience within a corporate environment.

Level 2 Support Technician Responsibilities:

  • Provides guidance in effective problem resolution
  • Develops standard operating procedures or best practices for the Level 2 Help Desk team
  • Diagnoses and resolves highly complex technical problems. Performs root cause analysis and offers recommendations to mitigate future occurrences of the problems
  • Provides expertise and technical advice to Help Desk team management
  • Serves as a first-line resource for the team for technical related processes, communications and follow-up requests
  • Suggests methods to improve operations, efficiency and service to their internal and external clients
  • Provides end-user and local office technical support and uses the ticket management system, troubleshoot issues and outages
  • Participates in projects and tasks alongside client's Systems Engineers, Infrastructure Leads and IT Managers
  • Works closely with Asset Managers to ensure integrity of asset management systems
  • Writes technical documentation, manuals and IT policies

Level 2 Support Technician Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline preferred
  • 5+ years of related work experience in a corporate environment
  • Proven experience as a Help Desk Lead, System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
  • Experience with proactive management systems (Intune, SCCM, AutoPilot, etc.)
  • Experience with Active Directory and Office 365
  • Experience managing hybrid infrastructures (on-premises and cloud)
  • Professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) is a plus
