A startup is looking for an Accounting & Finance Director to join their team in this newly created position. Reporting to the CEO, the Accounting & Finance Director will be responsible for both accounting and finance where you would lead the day-to-day general ledger, budgeting, and forecasting. To be successful in this role, the Accounting & Finance Director must be hands on, be willing to get in the weeds, and have a driven personality. Does this sound like you or someone you know? What do you need for this Accounting & Finance Director role?
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8 years of accounting and finance experience
- Must have inventory experience
- CPA and MBA a plus but not required
- System implementation experience a plus
- Oversee AP and AR
- Create invoices and automate this process
- Ensure payments are received and paid in a timely manner
- Cashflow management
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Negotiate payment terms and approve those terms for vendors
- Perform month-end close
- Create internal controls
- Oversee staff and bookkeeping

- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
