Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Grants Accountant III to join our team at Ledgent Finance & Accounting. As a key member of our Grants Billing Department, you will be responsible for supervising a small team of grant accountants and overseeing the review, collection, and reporting of government and foundation grants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee grant accounting functions and staff management, ensuring accurate financial reporting and billing.
  • Review contracts and prepare monthly grant budget reports, monitoring variances and providing solutions.
  • Serve as the liaison to grantors and support grant audits, staying updated on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate across departments and provide backup support as needed, utilizing strong communication and leadership skills.

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of supervision experience, with 3+ years of accounting experience and direct experience working with grants/funds.
  • Non-profit experience is required, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
