Position Summary
The Procurement Coordinator (Office Specialist 2) supports the work of Contracting and Procurement Services ( CAPS ) - Goods and Services group. This position provides administrative and contracting support, assists with reporting, manages contract submittal and processing, and performs the initial screening of incoming contracts for accuracy and completeness. This position also serves as the CAPS point of contact for the campus community.
Minimum Qualifications from Classification
Two years of general clerical experience. One year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
An Associate's degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology; OR
Graduation from a private school of business with a Certificate in Office Occupations or Office Technology AND one year of general clerical experience.
Note:
College courses in Office Occupations or Office Technology will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Additional Minimum Qualifications for this Position
Experience managing document submittal and processing including:
- Screening contracts for completeness and accuracy.
- Experience working with database entry and management.
- Answering department inquiries via telephone and email.
- Sorting and distributing mail.
- Greeting visitors and directing to correct location.
- Experience using iContracts or similar contract database.
- Experience working in a procurement or contracting department of a university or public agency.
- Experience with website design and maintenance.
- Experience using Drupal website content management software.
- Ordering and tracking certificates of insurance as required by contracts.

Work Days/Hours Monday through Friday - 8 - 5 or as arranged Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement
The starting hourly range for this position will be $16.94 and $17.44 and may be dependent upon the knowledge, experience, skills and abilities of the chosen candidate, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR. An excellent benefits package includes 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse or dependent at any of the Oregon University System schools.
