Nesco Data Center & Infrastructure is seeking a Data Center Relocation & Rack and Stack Engineers and Technicians to manage data center equipment relocation, rack and stack procedures, server installations, and deinstallations on an as-needed basis.
This role involves meticulous planning, equipment handling, cable management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Any expertise in cabling and familiarity with 1U, 2U, and 3U servers is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning data center relocations, executing rack and stack procedures, server installations, and deinstallations.
- Safely handle and transport equipment during relocation, installation, and deinstallation processes, including 1U, 2U, and 3U servers.
- Manage cable organization and labeling during rack and stack procedures and server installations.
- Conduct quality checks and maintain documentation of all activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
- Cable patching
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
- Experience in data center relocations, rack and stack procedures, server installations, and deinstallations.
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure components.
- Proficiency in cable management and following technical diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Physical fitness and flexibility for non-standard hours.
