As a QA Big Data Analyst, you will be a part of a highly talented engineering team and lead us in Big Data -related test plan design, test case development and execution. You will be part of the team that builds platforms and enables Data Sharing among various Client business units. The features you test and deploy will ensure we serve the highest quality data to internal teams that create and build upon Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning-centric pipelines.
We are looking for team members that are creative in solving problems, excited to work in modern technology areas and be ready to wear multiple hats to get things done. We have a highly energized, fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative startup environment.
What you will do:
Write, execute, and maintain user acceptance scenarios for the data produced by our data sharing platform.
Translate user stories into test scenarios and cases and provide feedback to ensure testability of all stories.
Partner with our engineers to correct any code issues that negatively impact the quality of our output data.
Coordinate and share knowledge with upstream data providers to correct any source data issues.
Learn and deeply understand to become a subject matter expert on the datasets in our domain.
Verify the features of our data sharing platform act as intended, especially in the areas of identifiable data removal & the transformations applied to improve data usability and simplicity.
Generate mock data to be highly representative of the production data while removing all risks.
Assist downstream customers with UAT of our platform and output data in all environments.
You are a successful candidate if:
You are smart and can demonstrate it.
You have 3+ years of experience developing or testing software using Python or Scala language.
You have 3+ years of hands-on experience using Spark (both code and infrastructure)
You have 3+ years of experience on AWS cloud technologies.
You have experience in setting up test pipelines in CI/CD tools.
You have experience in estimation, prioritization, and planning/coordination of testing activities in a Scrum environment.
You are experienced in using systems, like Jira, for tracking purposes and ensuring traceability among test cases, code, and requirements.
You practice empathy when dealing with the team and stakeholders.
You can manage ambiguity and are comfortable being set loose without a lot of direction.
You can manage external dependencies from partners and suppliers.
You are confident in expressing your point of view from a position of knowledge and experience. You are also receptive to feedback and open to revising your plans when appropriate.
Education: Bachelors Degree
