Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Establish safety as the highest priority for the team and ensure all key policies and procedures are in place and adhered to.
  2. Creation and execution of a rolling 1, 3, 5 and 10 year plan for warehousing space requirements, equipment, systems, and personnel headcount planning.
  3. Direct management of Kalsec’ s direct and indirect warehouses and warehousing partner(s), establishing and auditing against standardized KPI’s and metrics. Implementing countermeasures as needed to address gaps in performance.
  4. Offer a high level of support for procurement in continuing to expand the portfolio of inbound freight that is under Kalsec management.
  5. Support and participate in the creation and execution of shared standards between Kalsec locations for both warehousing and logistics. Support Kalsec Southwest, Europe, Singapore, and Shanghai with Logistics related issues as needed.
  6. Full ownership of ensuring compliance to all regulatory transportation requirements of Kalsec’ s hazardous goods program, including updating the program, auditing Kalsec’ s performance against the standards, and working closely with the logistics leadership team to address identified performance gaps.
  7. Provide analysis, justification, and implementation of new technology within daily operations, as needed to support continued growth and overall efficiency.
  8. Embrace “Lean” and lead the Logistics team in problem solving and continuous improvement efforts. Teach the process, support the team in their efforts, and lead individual teams.
  9. Analyze and improve current material flow and handling methods / processes.
  10. Support the Carrier Scorecard Program as needed, helping manage relationships, segmentation, and contracts
  11. Maintain the export tariff program.
  12. Serve as the primary data gathering source (primarily executed via Boxi reports) for the Logistics team.
  13. Keep the team and warehouses in adherence to all SQF (Food Safety) and EHS standards.
  14. Build strong relationships with internal Production, Finished Goods Planning, Procurement, Sales, and Customer Experience teams.
  15. Implement inventory practices to maximize inventory efficiency, including accuracy, and days on hand while minimizing loss / obsolescence.
  16. Work in a team environment, sharing responsibilities and tasks with others as needed.


Education/Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or other industry equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Logistics and supervisory role
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience with Transportation and Warehouse Management Systems
