Job Title: Maintenance Technician Supervisor

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician Supervisor, you will play a key role in managing the maintenance and repair of our production equipment, including poppers, kettle-coaters, and bagging machines, as well as overseeing our 25,000 square foot facility equipped with HVAC systems. Your electrical and mechanical expertise will be crucial in ensuring the efficiency and smooth operation of our equipment. You will collaborate closely with our Quality Assurance Manager to support our maintenance of SQF Level 2 certification by upholding the highest standards for equipment and facility maintenance. Additionally, you will lead efforts to automate our production processes by evaluating and recommending new equipment to drive innovation and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair production equipment to ensure smooth operations.

  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff and external resources to complete tasks and projects.

  • Implement automation solutions to enhance production and packaging.

  • Manage and enhance our preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime.

  • Coordinate with contractors and facility management for repairs and installations.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the maintenance team.

  • Handle additional duties as needed to support business goals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in predictive maintenance and OSHA standards

  • Forklift experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in a consumer products or food manufacturing environment with a strong electrical background

  • Experience with vertical form fill seal machines is a plus

Work Environment

You will work 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed. The typical schedule is Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 2:00pm. The pay rate for this position ranges from $30.00 to $40.00 per hour.
