Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to support Shipyard operations on site at a major defense contracting company in Norfolk. The successful candidate will perform electrical repairs and maintenance to the yard facilities, utilities, power distribution, and production equipment.
The estimated salary for this position is $23.00 per hour. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes health insurance, paid holidays, and paid sick leave.
About the Role
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for inspecting equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations, performing equipment service and repairs using specified tools and test equipment, and filling out various required reports and documentation.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school education
- A trade school certificate in electrical training or equivalent work experience performing electrical repairs
- Ability to read and troubleshoot equipment and systems from schematics, diagrams, and other manufacturer's documentation
