We are looking for a Business Development Manager in North American region, as we see the need to further grow the specialty rental business in industrial manufacturing and energy, as well to guide and support the local sales teams in the rental customer centers.

We are looking for a Business Development manager in our Portland, OR territory. As Business Development Manager you will lead and inspire our customers in the transformation journey toward agile solutions in specialty rental business for air and nitrogen needs. You will report to the District Manager of Northwest region in US and you will be an influential contributor for the sustainable, profitable growth in the Northwest.

The mission

Your mission is to drive initial success while innovating processes, structures, and resources to support a foundation on short-term/long-term growth and development of customer base.

Contribute to business and solutions on development initiatives with a forward-thinking, win-win mindset. Adopt and share best practices with other sales team members.

Serve as an influence leader to coordinate and optimize high-performing organization. Capture team commitments, and constructively drive accountability to deliver consistent results.

Generate comprehensive, application-focused presentation materials in support of maximum value delivery on unique customer opportunities.

Contribute to the definition and navigation of a long-term roadmap for market success in our business goals.

Display flexible influence leadership skills when interacting with others team members. Nurture a diverse and inclusive work environment. Champion a sustainable mindset. Demonstrate a complete commitment to the work culture established in the Atlas Copco Book.

Additional information on:

Travel within the territory (Northwest US) should be expected and embraced by the ideal candidate (~80% of working days), to visit customers and attend sales meetings or trainings.

What can we expect of you?

Experience requirements.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales leadership experience.
  • Mandatory bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical).
  • Application expertise in air and nitrogen technology is a must.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts regarding our solutions effectively when solving customer challenges.
  • Influence leadership, presentation, and strategic execution skills.
  • You have awareness of local cultures and international business environments.
  • The candidate must have an excellent command of English.
  • Knowledge of the Way We Rent would also be useful.

This position is located in Portland, OR and will be based out of our Arlington, WA office. This individual will directly report to the District Manager.

This position is hybrid. you will need to come into the office every week, but not typically every day.
