Job Title: Registered Nurse - Neurosciences Progressive Unit Job Specialty: Neurology ICU, Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse (ICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 36 hours per week, Evening/Night, 12-hour shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; every other weekend, some holidays Guaranteed Hours: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU; acute care experience within the last 3 years required, with preference for neurosurgery experience. License: Must have a nursing license within the compact license state. Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association only. Must-Have: - ICU experience required. - Experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar-size hospital. - Basic Arrhythmia experience. - Two references from recent work environments/assignments (supervisor or manager only). Job Description: - Provide therapeutic patient and family-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, including physical exams, readiness to learn, psychosocial, and functional assessments.- Actively participate in developing, executing, and evaluating the patient's plan of care.- Consider safety, effectiveness, and cost in planning and delivering care.- Establish goals and strategies for meeting discharge or continuing care needs of patients and families.- Utilize research findings in nursing practice and contribute to improving organizational performance.- Acquire and maintain knowledge in nursing practice and support professional development for self and others.- Ability to float to multiple units based on staffing needs.- Must pass a telemetry test prior to starting.Please ensure that candidates meet all requirements before submission.
