**Role Overview:**
As a Registered Nurse in the Neuroscience ICU, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, utilizing advanced monitoring techniques such as ICP and hemodynamic monitoring. You will work with a diverse and complex patient population, including subarachnoid hemorrhages, unstable ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, and more.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide intensive care to patients who are acutely ill from neurological deficits
- Utilize advanced monitoring techniques such as ICP and hemodynamic monitoring
- Work with a diverse and complex patient population
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care
**Requirements:**
- Must have experience in ICP or ventric
- Completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years
- Experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital
- Successfully completed a 13-week traveler assignment
- Traveler must have a WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state
- BLS/ACLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY
- Telemetry: Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience and will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to starting
- Floating: Travelers are the first to float and may have shifts scheduled in multiple units depending on current staffing needs
**Position Details:**
- Shifts: 36 hrs/week, Evening/Nights, 12 hr shifts, Every other weekend rotation, some holidays
- State License Details: Must be currently active
- Minimum Years of Experience: 2
- Minimum Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Sub Specialty: Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse (ICU), Neurology ICU
- General Certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
