Position Summary:

Quality Roots is quickly growing in the Michigan cannabis industry and seeks to hire a Human Resources Recruiter to find the best talent for our retail locations which will help promote our unique brands, products, store locations and cannabis lifestyle through recruiting initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Recruiter will focus on the employee life cycle, phone screening, onboarding, and record tracking. The HR Recruiter will primarily be responsible for ensuring all new hires are onboarded and recruited with a positive and unforgettable experience.

Qualifications:

The Recruiter must be organized, professional and trustworthy with the ability to be outgoing and enthused while working with the Human Resources Director, corporate level colleagues and store level management. The ideal candidate will inspire, respect and serve as a role model to candidates in the energy and drive needed to succeed at Quality Roots. The candidate will communicate effectively with management, retail employees and the surrounding communities in which we operate.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage in recruiting outside talent by scouting the best candidates and not relying only on the Applicant Tracking System for hiring
  • MUST BE WILLING to travel a minimum of 1 full day and up to 3 days a week to scout talent in areas where needed and as directed (mileage reimbursement provided)
  • MUST BE WILLING to promote hiring and job boards by communicating with local businesses in designated areas
  • Administer Applicant Tracking System with a high-level of accuracy to build a full-cycle recruitment database
  • Manage job boards and postings, as directed, to ensure an ongoing pool of available and qualified candidates.
  • Complete all phases of recruitment to include interviews, criminal background checks and onboarding.
  • Maintaining record keeping in regards to employee HRIS system and Employee Files
  • Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike
  • Perform other Human Resource functions and duties as requested by the Human Resources Director

Skills:

  • Proficient in using a computer along with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suites
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
  • High level of discretion and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential personnel matters and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Human Resources experience in recruiting, onboarding, administration or relevant field with a minimum of one full year experience is required
  • A Bachelors in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources, or related field OR relatable work experience will be considered if you do not have a degree.
  • I9, E-Verify, and Employee Withholding experience, preferred
  • Understanding Project Management systems such as Monday.com, preferred
  • Full-time availability (40-45 hours per week) Monday through Friday
  • Experience recruiting for a multiple state business, preferred
  • Must be 21+ years old
  • Valid Driver License with reliable transportation and the ability to travel within the State of Michigan (mileage reimbursement provided)
  • Can lift up to 20lbs, stand and sit for extended periods of time.
