Non-Exempt REPORTING STRUCTURE: Reports to: VP Human Resources Indirectly Reports to: Corporate Shared Services Team OBJECTIVE / PURPOSE Responsible for coordinating and supporting initiatives relative to the evaluation, processing, and handling of insurance claims, including workers compensation, vehicle accidents, and general liability/property claims for the Company. COMPETENCIES Experience in Worker's Compensation claim handling, laws and regulations. Knowledge of basic medical terminology, diagnosis, and treatment protocols preferred. Knowledge of OSHA General Industry regulations and recording requirements preferred. Strong investigative, fact-gathering and problem solving skills. Ability to comprehend and analyze facts. Excellent written, verbal and mathematical skills. Working knowledge of current PC software such as Google, Word and Excel. Outstanding customer service skills and ethical conduct. Effective organizational skills and attention to detail. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS Responsible for the company's workers' compensation

claims management program to include data entry and reporting. E nsures the employee has been contacted by the HR department, necessary documentation has been completed, logged and archived. Reviews and evaluates all work-related accident reports for completeness and clarity of data; analyzes data, as needed, to ensure compliance with Budd Group policy and regulatory requirements. Partners with senior HR and Shared Services Management regarding complex

claim investigations, settlements, and litigation. Partners with senior HR and Safety to coordinate and participate in strategic planning aimed at reducing the frequency and severity of losses through the use of a workers’ compensation database and/or other claims data reports. Partners with workers compensation carriers to maintain current employee status, upcoming appointments, and any paperwork or information that is needed. Partners with and assists defense attorneys, when necessary, to provide needed employee information, settlement suggestions, and work status. As directed, participates in the investigation and resolution of ongoing employee relations problems, anticipates problems whenever possible, and develops, recommends, and initiates appropriate steps for resolution. Participates in leave management compliance and administration in relation to claims. Maintains Human Resource Information System records. Designs, develops, and maintains databases, performs integrated data analyses, and compiles reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. As needed, assists with HR projects. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Travel to corporate, branch & field offices and/or customer sites as needed. Responsible for the company's vehicle claims management program to include data entry and reporting. Contacts the driver and their manager to ensure completeness and accuracy of the report, and coordinates damage estimates and repairs with the insurance adjuster and vehicle body shop. Works closely with the insurance carrier to coordinate and assist with general liability claims. Partners with HR Management and Branch HR to do cross checks regularly.
