Employees serve as primary contacts for patients and are responsible for scheduling appointments, preparing necessary paperwork before the patient visits, receiving patients, and maintaining records. In addition, this position may responsible for processing charges for clinic services, filing insurance claims, responding to requests for information from patients and insurance companies and maintaining related information for the department. Employees may be responsible for cash. Major/Essential Functions This position will be largely responsible for handling the check-out of patients accurately able to collect co-pays and ensuring insurance and documentation are complete and updated. This position will work to ensure that consults are being reviewed and scheduled promptly. This position will send all clinical progress notes to referring and consulting providers. This position will occasionally assist patients on phones. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented person to make sure that the front end of the Dermatology Clinic can run efficiently and effectively.
