Job Description We are looking for an electrical expert out of our Paducah, KY location who can help us maintain our vessels I&E systems preventative maintenance programs including equipment calibration while ensuring they meet both United States Coast Guard and Ingram standards. Our Electrical Projects Manager is a subject matter expert who can juggle multiple projects, deliver excellent customer service, and solve complex engineering problems. You will be responsible for electrical systems upgrades for overhaul and repower vessels, and overseeing integrations of electronic throttles, alarm systems, steering systems, and other electrical upgrades with focus on Zero Harm while working in all kinds of weather conditions and environments. What you will be doing: Coordinatingand directing vendors and Ingram associates during the overhaul process Managingdirect reports and Ingram associates to oversee the installation of electrical systems onboard vessels in accordance with Subchapter M regulations. Maintaining knowledge of current and new technologies Calibrating, testing, inspecting, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic devices (PLCs, transmitters, controllers etc.) Assisting in the design, engineering, and procurement of electrical equipment and instrumentation systems Visitingand developing work scope of each vessel to be overhauled and include all parties as to what will be accomplished during the overhaul process Assuringproper documentation of overhaul processes. Developing procedures and documentation for USCG approval for equipment upgrades for vessels per Subchapter M regulations Attendingroutine staff, Overhaul, ISAFE & project progress meetings Managingvessel cores from overhauls Sourcingparts for projects and overhauls/supervises daily shore side repairs AssistingChief Engineers with “hands on” maintenance and repair tasks during overhaul AssistingChief Engineers with on board maintenance procedures during overhaul Completingrecords, and other documents from repairs Performingspecial technical assignments as directed by the Manager of Engineering Reviewinginvoices from overhauls and general repair Reviewing vessel previous overhaul records to determine scope of work Assuringessential documentation from vessel repairs are maintained Supporting department activities with regular and prompt attendance Helping with training of chief and junior engineers Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 4-6 years of experience required Ability to obtain NFPA 70e certification A high level of knowledge of the vessels and vessel systems is required for this position. Exceptional people skills are also required prior to, during and after the project to assure customer satisfaction is maintained at a high level. Ability to manage direct and indirect reports, vendors, processes across multiple areas. Must be able to organize and prioritize large amounts of information and use information to align with customer service, operations and engineering regulatory and company specifications. Possess ability to cross functionally work with multiple department representatives to achieve common goals. High level of knowledge of PLCs, AC and DC controls and systems What will also make you successful: Must have the physical ability to transit all work environments for vessel and facility docks (i.e. lifting, climbing, confined spaces, maneuver hazardous areas) Able to work in extreme weather conditions Traveling to other facilities On-call 24 hours a day Additional Information Why Work at Ingram?
