The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible supporting the day-to-day personnel operations for the Practice and handles confidential information in a secure and professional manner. The incumbent assists with the recruitment for the Practice, ensures compliance with personnel policies and procedures, assists answering any questions employees and management may have regarding benefits, policy and procedures. In addition, the HR Coordinator handles the onboarding process for new hires joining the organization. The HR Coordinator provides outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers in an effort to make a positive Human Resources experience in support of the USF culture.

We have an immediate opening for an experienced and dedicated HR Coordinator to join or team. The schedule is M-F 10 am - 6 pm or 11 am - 7 pm in our Rockville, MD office hybrid with 1-2 days/week in the office.

How You'll Contribute: We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn't specifically our "job." In general, the HR Specialist is responsible for:

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
  • Provide administrative support to Human Resources team
  • Manage the new hire onboarding process for all clinical and corporate positions
  • Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc.) and take minutes
  • Handle with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
  • Facilitate new employee orientation and other employee based training sessions
  • Assists in the compliance training for employees
  • Ensures all up-to-date legal postings are placed in designated areas within established timeframes
  • Assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
  • Act in compliance with the Company's policies and procedures, and the legal rules and regulations applicable to the position


What You'll Bring:

The skills and education we need are:
  • AA degree in HR or related field required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of related experience preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of computer software (MS Office, Windows) and basic computer skills; previous experience with HRIS and Payroll systems a plus
  • Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications, especially MS Excel, Word, and PPT
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees and the general public
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
  • Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once
  • Ability to function as a team player
