**What you'll do as a Customer Team Member**

**Service with a difference** This isnt your standard food retail job, and no two days will be the same. Customer Assistant Customer Team Member

Location: 97-99 High Street, Brampton, Huntingdon, PE18 8TX

Pay: 9.50 per hour & amazing benefits.

Contract: 16 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent, part time

No experience needed as full training given

Working pattern: varied shifts including early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (store closing) and weekends, to be discussed at interview

What youll do as a Customer Assistant

Theres lots involved in being a Co-op customer assistant. The pace is always fast, with different duties to take on through your shift. Here are some of the key tasks:

providing friendly, considerate customer service (and really getting to know customers)

preparing and presenting our products, including from the bakery

keeping the store well stocked and looking good

thinking on your feet if theres an issue or problem to solve

promoting Co-op membership, and the local projects we support

Were not looking for any specific experience or qualifications we provide full training. Its your personality, skills, motivation and values that matter. Youll need to show us:

a real passion for customer service

great communication and listening skills

the ability to work well in a team, and achieve team and individual goals

an enthusiastic approach and willingness to support your colleagues when the store gets busier

the flexibility to work a range of shifts to support the opening times of the store

As a customer team leader, youll help the store manager with the day to day running of your store. Leading the store team, youll be responsible for maintaining high standards, supporting your colleagues to provide great service, and making sure the store is always well stocked and presentable. Youll also be a key holder, and well look to you to help ensure your store is always safe and secure. Being a team leader will give you the foundations you need to become a Co-op leader and grow your career in retail.

Store manager is one of the most important roles in our business. As a store manager youll need to combine your community spirit with commercial awareness and leadership skills to deliver great sales results. Well also look to you to grow and lead the store team and show every customer youre here to help them and their community. Being a store manager isnt easy, but with opportunities to get involved in projects and plenty of development on offer, its one of the most rewarding jobs in retail.

As an area manager youll lead a large team of store managers across circa 20 stores. Well look to you to inspire your team to deliver an amazing customer experience, and coach them to drive sales and community contributions. Being an area manager is about more than simply managing a group of stores youll also drive change and bring to life Co-op strategies through exciting projects and programmes. And with a wide range of development and support on offer, youll find plenty of opportunities to grow your career in retail.

close Within the first 12 weeks of joining the Co-op, youll enrol on the Core programme. This allows you to get to know our Co-op, understand your role and how you fit in, as well as ensuring you meet the standards expected within your role. This would include online modules, coaching and on the job development, with regular catch-ups and reviews with your line manager.

After completing Core, you can apply to join our Excellence programme. This is designed for colleagues who are achieving in role and want to develop and broaden their skills further. There are 5 main modules which include leadership, making stores profitable, using technology in store, customer service and community & membership.
