At Oticon Medical, we are passionate about using our combined expertise and resources to open up the world of sound to as many people as possible. Our bone anchored hearing systems benefit people with hearing loss, specialized to meet the needs of those who face the hardest hearing challenges.

The Clinical Specialist will work in conjunction with the Regional Director to increase Oticon Medical (OM) sales, expand existing sales base, pursue new business opportunities, strategically plan sales activities, identify target accounts, and sell through clinical support activities to help achieve 100% to quota.

This position requires frequent travel, at least 60%. Territory- Northeast + New England

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support on other clinical issues involving BAHS and Implantable systems such as candidacy criteria, assessment procedures, difficult case management including testing, clinical studies, seeking input from appropriate personnel at home office or other field teams to accomplish these activities.
  • Train customers on the theory, features and use of OM systems by incorporating key messages and positioning as appropriate. Provide on-site clinical support for patient fittings at Oticon Medical customers.
  • Work alongside territory manager to execute Quarterly Account Plan (QAP) and coordinate customer visits and responsibilities.
  • Develop a time and territory management strategy and work closely with the Territory & Regional Manager to fiscally manage the territory budget to maximize the impact in the market.
  • Accurately identify customer needs and seek assistance on execution of plans as appropriate to maximize impact in region.
  • Present to clients, larger groups, and conferences regarding OM products, candidacy and Audiological information about BAHS and Implantable Systems. Maintain professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company in a positive manner.
Qualifications:
  • Masters or Au.D. degree in Audiology (or related profession) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology or ABA Certified Required
  • A minimum of 3 years of clinical audiology/industry experience with implantable hearing solutions (Cochlear Implants and/or Bone Anchored Hearing Solutions BAHS).
  • Sales and/or training experience a plus.
  • Must be willing to learn and effectively implement sales techniques to increase OM market share at centers.
  • Experience with Oticon Medical and Oticon Inc. products preferred.
  • Familiarity with competitive technology is helpful.
  • Experience with behavioral and objective procedures used to assess candidacy and the benefit for adults and children.
