The Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Behavioral Health is a key executive leadership role responsible for overseeing the information technology strategy and operations within Kings View's behavioral health organization including both non-profit and for-profit operations. The CIO will drive the effective implementation of technology solutions that support clinical, administrative, and strategic objectives, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and the efficient operation of services.

Under administrative direction of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the operation of the central information technology department; and formulating organizational-wide information technology strategy and policies; and performing related work as required. The CIO is fully accountable to the CEO and serves as the primary advisor to the CEO and the Board of Directors on the latest information technology and develops and oversees a customer-focused, cost-effective information technology (IT) organizational-wide approach.

How will I contribute
  • Establishes/maintains and is involved in subsequent planning processes for an information technology strategic plan for the organization, involving all computing data, software, voice/data communications and systems operations components of the plan to ensure optimum performance of all system hardware and software.
  • Reviews agency/departmental strategic and tactical plans for compliance with the organization's strategic information systems plan and establishes supporting standards and policies to both assure such compliance and support individual agency and departmental business objectives
  • Provides sourcing strategy and vendor management related to IT by evaluating information needs and assisting in the negotiations for software and hardware purchases and other equipment, supplies and services
  • Continuously measures the total cost of technology including overseeing plans to reinvest in the IT infrastructure, performs investment analysis, and continually assesses the return-on-investment (ROI) for all IT initiatives
  • Provides vision and leadership to assess potential areas of opportunity in which IT could facilitate delivery of services; and seeks technology solutions to support customer business activities
  • Directs the development and implementation of IT Services goals, objectives, policies and priorities for each assigned service area, including acquiring and developing core competencies of IT Services staff, establishing appropriate service and staffing levels.
  • Directs the preparation, presentation and control of the various budgets assigned to IT Services. Reviews cost and revenue projections, directs revision of rates for billable services and equipment, approves forecasting of funds and necessary expenditures and implements budgetary adjustments as appropriate and necessary
  • Provides staff assistance to the CEO and responds to and resolves difficult and sensitive inquiries and complaints; conducts special studies and makes recommendations as directed by the CEO on information systems policies and procedures
  • Oversees Kings View Professional Services technology sales with the Director of Sales to meet organization's growth initiatives for the IT business service line
  • Drive the adoption of new technologies and innovations to enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and their potential applications in behavioral health.
  • Provides vision and leadership to assess potential areas of opportunity in which IT could facilitate delivery of revenue generating services; and seeks technology solutions to support customer business activities in ways that help the customer maximize outcomes.
  • Work in collaboration with Director of Sales and Director of Customer Experience and Product Innovation to determine feasibility of new products and services.
What I bring
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and at least five years relevant experience including three years supervision in a complex system environment
  • Class C Driving License
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Credible system, ability to analyze user needs and implement solutions. Knowledge of client billing requirements and basic accounting principles
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower cross-functional teams to achieve common goals. Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a focus on delivering value-added IT solutions and services to internal and external stakeholders
  • Master's degree preferred. Experience working in regulated industries, such as finance, healthcare, or government, preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP) are a plus.
