CHS operates 71 acute-care hospitals and more than 1,000 other sites of care, including physician practices, urgent care centers, freestanding emergency departments, occupational medicine clinics, imaging centers, cancer centers and ambulatory surgery centers.
Summary
An Accountant, Intercompany is responsible for intercompany accounting activities of a healthcare organization.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Financial reporting: Preparing and presenting financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements related to intercompany transactions.
General ledger management: Recording intercompany financial transactions in the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the records.
Account reconciliation: Reconciling intercompany accounts and resolving any discrepancies between records and transactions.
Budget management: Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring, ensuring that expenses are in line with budgetary guidelines.
Compliance: Ensuring that all financial records and transactions are in compliance with accounting principles and regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid regulations.
Communication and collaboration: Collaborating with other departments, such as accounting, finance, and operations, to ensure that financial records and transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited university
Required Experience: Three (3) or more years of experience in Accounting/Finance setting and general accounting knowledge.
Preferred Experience: Experience in intercompany accounting.
Preferred License/Registration/Certification: Six Sigma
Computer Skills Required: Google Suite preferred; willingness to learn Oracle and leverage the training, reporting, and process components to excel at role
