Position Summary

Reporting to the leadership of Shared Business Operations, this role is pivotal as a subject matter expert in enhancing the effectiveness and engagement of the Clinical Accounting team. The focus is on facilitating communication between the Shared Business Operations and its various clinics.

As a senior member of the Shared Business Operations Finance division, this position plays a crucial role in supporting the team of controllers responsible for clinical operations.

Collaboration with the Financial Management team is essential to foster continuous improvement and nurture a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Guide and mentor the Clinical Staff Accountants, ensuring they are well-equipped and trained to fulfill their responsibilities effectively.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses.
  • General Ledger Oversight: Manage intercompany financial transactions within the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Account Reconciliation: Conduct reconciliations of intercompany accounts, addressing any discrepancies that arise.
  • Accruals and Allocations: Oversee the booking of prepaids, accruals, and the recording of all expense allocations.
  • Budget Oversight: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, ensuring alignment with financial guidelines.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting principles and regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including accounting, finance, and operations, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution, with a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years in a Clinical Accounting or Finance environment, coupled with general accounting expertise.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience in a hospital or healthcare system with multi-site accounting is highly desirable.
  • Certifications: Six Sigma certification is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Google Suite is preferred; willingness to learn Oracle and utilize its training and reporting tools is essential.
