    • Work with property managers to identify tenants that are ready to be sent to collections.
    • Create Board Resolution for tenant bad debt.
    • Enter tenants into collection agency on-line.
  • Others- Annual Reporting
    • Prepare Annual Unclaimed Property Report
    • Prepare Annual 1099 Forms
    • Manage Annual Property and Liability Insurances
    • Review Outstanding Checks
    • Petty Cash testing
    • Assist in completion of monthly journal entries.

Requirements

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum five years of accounting experience, preferably with a housing authority or municipality.
  • Must have experience and be highly proficient with Microsoft software packages, including Excel, Work, Outlook, and have the ability to learn other software as needs arise.
  • Able to use a telephone, a networked computer and printer, adding machine, copier, FAX machine, and other equipment as technology evolves and needs arise.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
