The Residential Mortgage Loan Officer is the Single Point of Contact for our mortgage customers in our Direct-to-Consumer Mortgage Business. We offer a variety of fixed and variable rate mortgage programs and products for our clients. As the Single Point of Contact, you will guide the client from application to closing coordinating processing, underwriting, and closing support. Our digital portal for applications simplifies the process for both clients and loan officers.

  • Prospect for new business by following up on company-sourced leads, inbound calls resulting from digital marketing campaigns, transfers from Customer Service Representatives, and inbound calls from bank branch customers as well as existing sources you may have.
  • Utilize Client Relationship Management bank technology to develop marketing deployment campaigns and manage follow-up with prospective clients.
  • Assist borrowers in completing applications in the communication channels they desire.
  • Offer a consultative sales approach, offering clients programs that best fit their individual needs.
  • Follow up on all applications in process, providing clients with regular updates.
  • Work with processing and underwriting teams to ensure a smooth process for clients.
  • Ensure all closing timelines are met.
  • Follow up with borrowers after the closing to confirm the relationship and address any opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
  • Sales experience preferred however 2-4 years of Residential loan processing, underwriting or origination experience with a financial institution or mortgage banking company will be strongly considered for the right candidate. Familiarity with mortgage processes, procedures, rules, regulations, and compliance
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze financial information.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present complex financial information while fielding and responding to questions from prospective borrowers, processors, underwriters and closers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. This position will require frequent interaction with borrower and internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with a variety of social media platforms and the different opportunities they present.
  • Bi-lingual a plus, not required.
Education
  • College Degree preferred.
  • Military background or past work experience will be considered in lieu of College Degree.
Work Hours
  • Monday - Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm.
  • This is a full-time position, with rotating Saturday mornings, resulting in a day off during the week.
  • The position is at our riverfront office on South Bank, Jacksonville, FL. Must be available to work onsite.
