POSITION TITLE: Agreement Sales Manager

REPORTS TO: VP, IS Sales

Konecranes is the world's largest when it comes to manufacturing and servicing overhead industrial cranes and we rely heavily on our District Agreement Sales Manager to keep our sales team on top. The District Agreement Sales Manager will monitor credit controls, maintain information on key competitors and their activities, and maximize Konecranes strategies. This individual will need to use their skills to develop a marketing/ sales plan that can be implemented to ensure the success of our budget objectives. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruit, develop, and retain exceptional talent.
  • Responsible for directing and managing the sales efforts of the existing sales staff. The primary focus is to sustain consistent performance in new agreement sales activities and insure adequate sales efforts are being conducted in all service market areas on new account activities.
  • Responsible for overseeing and training on the CRM tool for all branch and district personnel. A primary focus is ensuring that all sales and managerial resources are using the tool to manage our customer relationships and keeping activities up to date monthly.
  • Responsible for administering the target marketing programs and determining the sales strategies at specific accounts.
  • Responsible for overseeing, collecting and reporting the Key Account activity reports from the sales personnel regularly and reporting on a monthly basis to the district manager.
  • Responsible for overseeing, collecting and reporting on the Business Review activities and the results. To include a copy of the presentations, electronic file of the graphs used, and the follow up document report.
  • Submittal of monthly Rush Report. This report includes 3 month forecast of sales and orders, sales quotation levels by SP's, key orders, quotes, and lost orders. This report is to be done in cooperation with the operations manager and submitted jointly for month end.
  • New Agreement Business Development/ Target Development Account: A list of target accounts may be provided or developed by the representative to make offers/calls/visits in pursuit of new agreement business opportunities. A completion objective will be determined at the onset of the listing and monthly progress reporting will be required and all visits logged into CRM to meet monthly targets.
  • Renewal of Agreements: Some assigned accounts are the responsibility of the Representative to renew. Customers refusing to renew may be assigned to the Sales Rep. to take over the renewal process. Such review will take place during the Ops and/ or Sales meeting.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a manager in service related sales or operations, however, equivalent experience, education, and training will be considered. Must have experience meeting monthly minimum sales quotas and CRM funnel size. Must have and maintain a good driving record.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must be willing to travel as required including overnight and international. Must have demonstrated leadership experience, well-developed "people" skills, a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical principles, good written and verbal communication skills and good PC skills.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree is preferred. Prior equivalent Sales Management experience and training will be considered in lieu of formal degree.
