Type: 4 month contract

Compensation Range: 22-24/HR W2 (W2 ONLY)

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Installation, support, and maintenance of hardware, software and network components needed to support academic and administrative desktop computers
  • Diagnose and correct desktop computing problems which may result from system failure, system configuration, system errors, operator errors, or operator inexperience.
  • Build software masters for deployment to administrative and academic systems.
  • Install new computers.
  • Reconfigure old computers for redeployment.
  • Move existing computing hardware (PCs, Macs, printers, scanners, etc.) to another site.
  • Repair/replace equipment that is out of warranty.
  • Work with staff/vendors to repair or replace equipment covered under warranty.
  • Work with Network Staff to diagnose desktop computing problems.
  • Attend meetings and complete project records.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Two years experience supporting personal computers in a professional environment using MS Windows and MS Office Suite required.
