Accounts Payable Specialist

Vaco is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join a greatfinance department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounts payable processes, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, coding, and data entry.
Prepare and review payment batches for accuracy and completeness.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Assist with the processing of employee expense reports and credit card transactions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records in the accounting system.
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues in a professional manner.
Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounts payable processes and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Proven experiencein accounts payable or related financial role.
Strong understanding of accounts payable principles, practices, and procedures.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
licensure and certification requirements;
office location and other geographic considerations;
other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
