Services include operating employee dining centers, on-site catering, executive dining rooms, and other managed services.Job SummarySchedule: Monday through Friday. This position is on-site with the option to work remotely 1-2 days per week after 60 days upon review. Waveguide's Junior Accountant is an accounting professional who takes responsibility for the data requirements and reporting needs for the company with respect to the current accounting system, Deltek Vantagepoint. In this role, the Junior Accountant will work as part of the Waveguide finance team to ensure all financial deliverables are completed on time and at the highest quality. Typical job responsibilities will include the following: Activities:Responsible for project-based time sheet oversight. Review, approve and post all Deltek time sheets weekly; track submissions throughout week, contacting associates as needed for clarifications/corrections.Process, verify and modify vacation and sick accruals via Deltek monthly, abiding by Compass Group's Employment Compliance and local/state policies. Responsible for fiscal year balance transition and carryover balance reconciliations.Review and process all submitted expense reports in preparation for final review by Senior Staff Accountant. Communicate with manager and/or owner of expense report with questions/issues. Escalate to Sr. Finance Director if necessary.Reconcile company credit card statement throughout the month, ensuring all items have been properly recorded via Deltek expense reports.Assist as needed with preparation of monthly client invoices, including matching supporting details to applicable project invoices. Submit final invoices to client contacts and assist Sr. Staff Accountant with uploads to applicable portals; respond to client comments, forwarding to appropriate manager for resolution.Prepare lien waivers to forward to client as requested.Maintain equipment inventory (leased and owned assets).Assist with accounts receivable collection as required.Enter data from Corporate and internal finance department leads into Deltek via journal entries as requested by Finance staff.Work with Compass Corporate Accounts Payable department to complete new client vendor set-up requests.Review, track and forward incoming Vendor invoices to Compass Field Accountant for posting in SAP. Process other Accounts Payable items (minimal) via credit card as requested by Sr. Finance Director.Prepare ad hoc reports as required.Fulfill other company support duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications:A 2-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required.
