Job Summary:An exciting opportunity exists at Raytheon for a Development Fab Process Integration Engineer in our Development Fab to join our III-V process development engineering team working on gallium nitride-based devices and III-V focal plane array fabrication within the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions (AMS) Department. This role requires a broad understanding of microelectronics wafer fabrication and processing techniques such as deposition, etch, lithography, backside, materials characterization, and metrology with expertise in one or more of these areas. The chosen candidate is expected to have detailed knowledge of the process integration and interaction between wafer fabrication modules for the various III-V process technologies and also excellent communication skills with the process development team, technical leads, Integrated Product Team leads, and functional management. The ideal candidate is expected to be an innovative and creative thinker across a variety of III-V compound semiconductor technologies and wafer fabrication processing including microelectronics processing techniques of deposition, etch, lithography, backside, materials characterization, and metrology.Responsibilities to Anticipate:Develop the process flow and work instructions for the development wafer fabrication lots in the production of novel semiconductor materials and devices.Support the research and development efforts of the department by facilitating the process development team and the associated wafer movement through the Development Fab.Streamline process flow of development wafer fabrication lots and manage wafer movement between internal and external facilities.Coordinate with and report to technical leads and project managers on the status of experiments within the Development Fab.Interface with the operations team to advocate and coordinate the Development Fab access on production wafer fabrication toolsets.Anticipate potential conflicts from the equipment maintenance and repair of the Development and Production Fab toolset to facilitate the wafer fabrication movement.Participate in continuous improvement efforts for the Development Fab including the audit readiness, safety, chemical inventory and other facilities infrastructure.Frequently work on the foundry floor and interact with various process engineering, equipment engineering, digital technologies, quality, facilities, and operation teams.This 1st shift role will be 100% on-site and based in Andover, MA.Qualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 8 years' of prior work experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' of prior work experience.Experience in semiconductor processing techniques including lithography, dry etching, wet chemistry, metals evaporation, sputtering and backside processing.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance post-start is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer:Communication skills to effectively transfer ideas.Ability to lead and coordinate technical projects with diverse and cross-functional teams.Experience with semiconductor process integration and development of III-V compound semiconductors.Broad knowledge related to semiconductor processing, equipment, and data analysis including familiarity with software such as SQL, JMP, and MES systems like Promis or Eyelit.Experience with characterizing, understanding, and developing next generation of semiconductor technologies and process modules.Ability to document and maintain production process flows.Experience with developing milestone plans for wafer fabrication lot movement.What We Offer:Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
