A solid background and understanding of accounting and finance, with experience in a public accounting, financial forecasting, and transaction environment. Excellent communication skills in presenting to colleagues and supporting presentations to high level professionals including C Suite level executives and the legal and financial community. A willingness to learn and incorporate coaching and performance feedback. Travel and work schedule flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel domestically 25-50%, sometimes with short notice. Willingness and ability to work more than 40 hours per week, as dictated by client deliverables and timelines. Major Responsibilities: The Financial Analyst will be a key member of Steeplechase Advisors, project team; you will report directly to the Managing Director for day-to-day activities and to senior leadership for weekly company updates and periodic strategic planning. Your primary job will include creating and maintaining financial forecasts for a variety of clients, using and interpreting client data. Communication and collaboration with your project team and with the client will be critical aspects of every project. Duties will include but are not limited to the following: 1)

Assist in restructuring and transaction advisory work that maximizes each client’s unique value by building 3 statement financial models that include financial forecasts, preparing presentation materials in power point presentations, and assisting in the successful execution of the project work with other members of the Steeplechase team. 2)

Review and analyze the client business plans and financial statements, using client data to create, update, and maintain financial forecasts: Monthly income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow with liquidity analysis 13-week cash flow forecast with liquidity and availability management tools Other analyses as directed 3)

Assist in preparing project specific documents such as client business assessment reports, management dashboards, project status updates, and client materials for a potential transaction. 4)

Work with the client and Steeplechase team to develop a strong, collaborative relationship: Attend project-related meetings with clients and/or Steeplechase as requested Complete tasks as requested and directed on assigned case files by leadership Perform tasks in a professional manner in all situations 5)

Assist in other Steeplechase projects and business planning matters as requested from time to time. 6)

Complete deliverables on time and with a very high level of accuracy Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate brings these qualifications to the team: Has 3-10 years’ experience in either one or more of the following environments: financial restructuring, including reorganizations, liquidations, transactions, and receiverships, public accounting, investment banking, M&A, or private equity. Expertise in financial modeling and forecasting, financial environment. Is highly proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and can learn new software programs as needed for a project. Advanced Excel skills and superior Power point Presentation Skills. Is a team player, willing to work long hours including nights and weekends as needed to serve clients well. Presents a positive demeaner and brings a collaborative, respectful attitude to work. Is an innovative thinker with an action-oriented personality and can think outside the box. Demonstrated ability to evaluate a business to understand its model, strategy and understand its key operational and financial performance drivers.
