Convention Services Manager

Transformation Hospitality Solutions (THS), a hospitality consulting company provides task force, task force to direct hire and direct hire services. Position Overview
We're seeking an experienced Conference Services Manager for a client's full-service hotel in the Orlando area. Prior experience working in a full-service Marriott along with proficiency in CI-Ty software are important qualifications for this Direct Hire opportunity.
Competitive salary along with Healthcare and Quarterly Bonuses.
Employer will assist with some relocation expenses for a candidate outside of Orlando.
Key Skills
Event Planning and Coordination:
Coordinate all aspects of conferences, meetings, and events, including scheduling, logistics, and vendor management.
Client Communication:
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, understanding their needs, providing information, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the event planning process.
Venue Management:
Oversee the selection and reservation of appropriate venues for events, ensuring they meet the requirements of the clients and are equipped with necessary facilities.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage event budgets, including negotiating contracts with vendors and ensuring expenses stay within budgetary constraints.
Logistics Management:
Arrange all logistical details for events, including room setup, audiovisual equipment, catering, transportation, and accommodations for attendees.
Staff Supervision:
Supervise event staff, including coordinating schedules, assigning duties, and ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
Marketing and Promotion:
Develop marketing strategies to promote events and attract attendees, which may include creating promotional materials, advertising, and utilizing social media platforms.
On-site Event Management:
Oversee the execution of events on-site, ensuring everything runs smoothly, troubleshooting any issues that arise, and providing support to attendees and staff as needed.
Post-Event Evaluation:
Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of events, gather feedback from clients and attendees, and identify areas for improvement.
Client Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure repeat business and referrals.
Stay Updated on Industry Trends:
Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in event planning and conference services to continually improve offerings and stay competitive in the market.
