Overview

OVG has an exciting opportunity for a Box Office Manager at the 12,000 seat multi-purpose Donald L. Tucker Civic Center on the campus of Florida State University. The FSU Tucker Center is home to both FSU Men's and Women's Basketball, multiple touring concerts, and several family shows annually. The Box Office Manager directs and oversees all aspects of the daily operation of the box office, providing world class customer and guest service. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in ticketing, staff management, and guest services.

This role will pay a salary of $50,000 to $60,000.

Responsibilities

Coordinate event information between promoter, facility personnel, and ticketing company, including pricing and seating configurationsManage communication and reporting with event promoters, event staff, and building managementOversee daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly sales of tickets and enter data for building managementReconcile any issues between ticket sales and the Finance department including shortages or overagesMaintain the internal controls of daily box office operationsWork and collaborate with the university's athletic department ticketing staff for needs during athletic eventsOrganize box office financial information in conjunction with needs from the finance departmentManage all box office contractual agreementsEnsure the FSU Tucker Center sends and receives mail, packages, and daily cash deposits during business hoursDevelop and maintain documentation and training material on Box Office policies and procedures including cash and credit card handling (PCI compliancy in accordance with Florida State University)Manage annual PCI audits including evidence gathering, security policy changes and other tasks required to successfully complete PCI compliance audits for the buildingRecruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise part time Box Office staff ensuring that all staff are fully trained in handling customer opportunities and explaining policiesMaintain and assist in IT venue operations in coordination with FSUPerform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Post-Secondary Diploma in Business Administration or Bachelor's degree in related fieldMinimum 3-5 years of increasingly responsible box office / ticketing experience, preferable with a sports facility, convention center, performing arts facility or other multipurpose assembly facilityAbility to multi-task, be organized, detail oriented, self-driven, forecast issues and handle last minute projects to meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal skills necessary, including excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to provide leadership, engage in positive interactions with staff and fans, prioritize and organize, motivate staff, problem solve, delegate, follow-up and communicate, both orally and in writingSkill and knowledge of computerized ticketing operations and software (Ticketmaster TM1, TM Host, Microsoft Office Suite), guest services, phone etiquette, immediate and long-term decision making, cash managementAbility to work flexible and extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours
