The automation technical trainer is a person in charge of providing, hiring, creating technical training on the processes and equipment of Jabil operations for both engineers and technicians. This position is responsible for the creation of procedures when warranted oriented towards having the entire team accessing the critical knowledge for the proper functioning of the manufacturing processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Locate training needs in the technical and engineering team.

Create, Hire, or provide necessary training to the technical and engineering team.

Create or contract the creation of educational and audio-visual content to facilitate learning.

Maintain a database of specific and critical knowledge for the optimal functioning of operations (courses, one-point lessons, manuals, etc.)

Drafting work instructions for equipment maintenance.

Hire or create didactic training material using real and/or practical cases.

Creation of exams for the certification of personnel for critical tasks.

Responsible for specialized training and induction of AUTOMATION staff upon entry.

In collaboration with supervisors create and/or modify Curricula.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS Advanced knowledge of mechanical/electronics/electrical/software application engineering. Advanced knowledge of EMS industries. Advanced knowledge of automation equipment assembly and installation. Professional technical trainer course (desirable). Knowledge of electrical and pneumatic controls. Knowledge of PLC and Vision System programming (desirable). Basic knowledge of creating audio visual material (Desirable). Proficiency in the English language (Oral and written desirable).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Technologist and/or Mechatronics, Electronic or Electrical Engineer.

At least 3 years’ experience as maintenance technician, Automation or manufacturing environments (preferred).

Teaching experience in a technical area.

Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
