The Role:

As a Staff Pharmacist, you are critical to ensuring our residents have the medications they need, when they need them. If you are looking to join a growing, collaborative, entrepreneurial and service-oriented team of pharmacy professionals, where your work makes a true impact in the lives of others, Guardian is the perfect place for you.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepare medications for final dispensing to the patient, including filling, order entry, and packaging
  • Review completed orders and cycle-fill medications to ensure prescriptions were filled correctly
  • Verify the legality and pharmaceutical feasibility of dispensing a drug based on patients' allergies, incompatibilities with current medications, frequency of refills, etc.
  • Interpret prescription orders, to include exercising professional judgement in determining whether to dispense a particular prescription, taking into account patient safety and legal limitations
Qualifications:
  • Licensed by the Florida Board of Pharmacy
  • NPI number preferred -Not mandatory for hire, required within first 90-day period of employment
Skills/Abilities:
  • 1+ years of related experience
  • Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate
  • Effective communicator
  • Quick and independent learner
  • QS1 or FrameworkLTC experience is a plus
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
Location: Orlando, Florida

Schedule: M-F 2:30pm to 11pm, rotating weekends 9am to 6:00pm. 5 shifts per week.
