Goddard House operates under two strategic directions: The continued high-quality operation of Goddard House, an innovative assisted living and memory care community with 115 units in Brookline, MA which has a long history of providing creative and enriching experiences for our residents. The expansion of Goddard House Community Initiatives (GHCI), which sponsors and develops creative aging programs and partnerships that engage underserved older adults in the Greater Boston community. These programs in art, music, dance or other forms of creative expression, aim to reduce social isolation and loneliness and enhance the well-being of older adults living by engaging them in creative arts programs that foster self-expression, new friendships and wellbeing. The GHCI Creative Aging Program Specialist position is a full-time, 100% in-person role based in Brookline. The position reports to the organization’s Director of Community Partnerships supporting GHCI’s programs, and events, primarily held in Boston-area elder housing communities. AVAILABLE SHIFTS This position is a full time based out of the Goddard House in Brookline. RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain a multi-faceted set of priorities, and deadlines, providing outstanding support to the Community Initiatives leadership team. Perform community initiatives program coordination, including partnering internally or externally to drive program strategies and logistics; stay informed and communicate effectively with teaching artists, interns, and volunteers to ensure programs are completed within designated timelines. Facilitate the creation and distribution of written and digital communications; prepare/edit reports and presentations; assist with updating materials and publications Assist with creating, managing, and executing community initiatives events and art exhibitions. including help to organize artwork for display, order exhibition artwork frames/mattes and supplies, help hang the exhibition, plan and facilitate the exhibition event, including creating program certificates, ordering refreshments and promoting the event Write, design and distribute promotional flyers and other materials to promote community initiatives programs and events Travel to local community initiatives program sites as needed, coordinate program schedules, curriculums and materials,order and maintain program inventories. Carefully document weekly program attendance, activities and participant data Assist with GHCI fundraising efforts, including mailings, processing donations, sending acknowledgement letters; entering information in the donor database. Assist in coordinating and growing volunteer and internship programs for GHCI, including outreach campaigns to local colleges and universities, interviewing, hiring, training, and placing volunteers, complying with the organization’s document policies and procedures, and maintaining accurate records. Actively participate as a member of the team, sharing ideas, and contributing to the success of a highly effective team. QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ three years experience in a project coordinator role in a dynamic environment Excellent written and verbal communicator as well as demonstrated editing and proofreading skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of diverse stakeholders. Superb computer skills, including Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, and Calendar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Highly organized, detail-oriented with a creative problem-solving edge, outstanding time management, planning and organizational skills. Demonstrated project coordination skills, including the skills needed to write, edit, and prepare regular reports and presentations. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines while maintaining a high degree of professionalism. Experienced in researching, analyzing, compiling and summarizing information and data in spreadsheets or in other formats, as appropriate. Ability to exercise discretion and apply good judgment in making decisions, work independently and as part of a team. Ability to travel up to 50%-75% of the time to select programs, events and meetings for GHCI Knowledge of Bloomerang, DonorPerfect and/or Raisers Edge database preferred. Physical ability to: handle some lifting of supplies and equipment and move (pulling/pushing) tables and other furniture up to 30 pounds; implement recreational activities for residents; and escort and/or assist residents, as needed, and with the support of coworkers, as assigned Passion and experience working with older adults and the arts preferred. Culturally competent with experience and comfortability delivering services to a multiracial, multicultural and multilingual population. Experience working with teaching artists, class and program development and implementation preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) or multilingual language skills are a plus. PAY & BENEFITS:
