Lead your own small team delivering Livius’s high-quality programs together with one of our school partners. The schedule is Sept thru June (academic year) part-time after school hours and occasional weekends, 3-25 hours per week. Pay range is $25-30 per hour depending on experience. 

As a Site Director with Livius Prep, you will lead a team of instructors in creating an unforgettable after school experience of learning, building friendships, and designing cool stuff. We invest heavily in our staff with extensive paid training and an on-the-job coaching program You will be trained in various technologies to support your instructors and students. Site Directors use and develop important leadership skills such as team building, employee motivation, and provide actionable feedback and coaching to their staff. Site directors receive a year-end formal evaluation letter that can be used as a letter of reference for future employment opportunities. 

This job is a perfect fit for college students or educational paraprofessionals looking for fun part-time work experience. This job will allow you to break into informal education professions such as museums or other after-school programs and develop essential, marketable leadership skills. We offer a fun and supportive environment working with kids who love coming to our program 

Each location runs on a specific day of the week and the site coordinators are expected to visit each one regularly. The daily schedule is Brookline on Mondays, Lynnfield on Tuesdays, Scituate on Wednesdays, and Concord on Thursdays. 

WHO YOU ARE 

Livius Prep is looking for site coordinators who excel at working with kids, are masters of classroom management, and are always ready to learn something new. Our learning experiences are child-led, which allow us to celebrate all the quirky and creative projects our campers imagine. Whether you see yourself as an artist or an engineer, we welcome digital designers of all types   

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Oversee approximately 4 classrooms each day, directly supporting your instructors and indirectly supporting more than 40 students grades 2-12 

  • Work with your instructor team to develop their classroom management skills 

  • Build strong relationships with the onsite staff of our partner program, enabling you to work proactively and collaboratively to resolve issues 

  • Support your team in finding creative ways to help students design projects they are excited about 

  • Provide additional troubleshooting and technical support 

  • Learn about and share your excitement for digital design 

  • Help students work through conflicts and behavior challenges and develop their social-emotional skills 

  • Collaborate with students’ caregivers, including the staff of our partner programs, to foster and celebrate success 

  • Ensure that your sites meet or surpass Livius’s high-quality standards for learning

YOU MUST HAVE 

  • Your own vehicle for transportation to support instructors at all sites  

  • Demonstrated success as an instructor of elementary or middle school students in a camp, school, or after school program (any subject matter, volunteer or paid) 

  • Comfort with technology 

  •  Ability to clear background checks 

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail 

  • 21+ years of age 

  • A high school diploma and a minimum two years of college 

IDEAL CANDIDATES ADDITIONALLY HAVE 

  • At least 6 months of teaching and administrative experience 

  • Previous experience in a leadership role in an educational context 

  • Experience with Title 1 schools is a valuable plus 

  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and personal accountability in a team 

  • Demonstrated ability to positively impact youth and address the varied needs of students 

  • Experience working in a culturally diverse environment and a passion for fostering an inclusive and engaging learning atmosphere 

  • Experience training or coaching educators 

  • Experience delivering project-based learning 

  • Ability to build, strong supportive relationships with students and caregivers; able to find solutions and remain positive during challenging moments 

  • Demonstrated attention to detail as needed to comply with all regulatory guidelines 

  • Strong commitment to the Livius Prep’ mission and culture 

  • BA or advanced specialty training
