We are seeking a dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team of compassionate and hard working teachers. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our students. Your passion for education, experience working with children, and expertise in classroom management will contribute to the growth and development of our students. Flexibility to choose your desired age group/classroom. Hours we are seeking to fill would be 7:30-4:30 or 8:30-5:30 depending on the classroom placement. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 credits in ECE or a related field, though individuals who do not meet this qualification are still encouraged to apply. Pay is negotiable based on experience and education.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the individual needs of students
- Provide a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to promote positive student behavior
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure physical/social emotional/academic growth
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues regarding student progress
- Provide daily care needs to our young toddlers including, but not limited to, diaper changing, potty training, meal times, rest time, and more.
Requirements
- This individual should be lead qualified, have a minimum of 12 credits in ECE with 3000 hours of experience in a licensed child care program, public or private elementary school, or 18 credits with 1000 hours of experience in one of the previously mentioned settings. Associates degree in ECE or a related field preferred but not required.
- Candidate must have experience working with children 6 weeks through age 5
- Must be available to work until 5:30
- Must have at least 1 year of experience working with children in a licensed child care setting
- Must have excellent communication skills to interact effectively with parents, co-workers, and leadership
Nice To Haves
Relevant skills that would be beneficial include experience with curriculum development, knowledge of child development, and experience with classroom management.
