We are seeking a dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team of compassionate and hard working teachers. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our students. Your passion for education, experience working with children, and expertise in classroom management will contribute to the growth and development of our students. Flexibility to choose your desired age group/classroom. Hours we are seeking to fill would be 7:30-4:30 or 8:30-5:30 depending on the classroom placement. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 credits in ECE or a related field, though individuals who do not meet this qualification are still encouraged to apply. Pay is negotiable based on experience and education.
We are also seeking dedicated Associate Teachers to join our team. Must be available to work until 5:30pm, experience with infants and toddlers preferred.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the individual needs of students
- Provide a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to promote positive student behavior
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure physical/social emotional/academic growth
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues regarding student progress
- Provide daily care needs to our young toddlers including, but not limited to, diaper changing, potty training, meal times, rest time, and more.
Requirements
For our Lead Teacher position candidates should be:
- At least 18 years of age
- Lead qualified in the state of NH by having a minimum of 12 credits in ECE with 3000 hours of experience in a licensed child care program, public or private elementary school, OR 18 credits with 1000 hours of experience in one of the previously mentioned settings. OR the candidate must have a non-expired CDA or a credential from a teacher preparation program accredited by MACTE
- Associates degree in ECE or a related field preferred but not required.
- Candidate must have experience working with children 6 weeks through age 5
- Must be available to work until 5:30
- Must have at least 1 year of experience working with children in a licensed child care setting
- Must have excellent communication skills to interact effectively with parents, co-workers, and leadership
For our Associate Teacher positions candidates shall:
- Be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, including but not limited to General Equivalency Diploma (GED), a High School Equivalency Test (HiSet), or a Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC), and have one of the following options (1-4):
- (1) Written documentation from or on file with the department that she or he was qualified and employed as an associate teacher on or before November 6, 2017;
- (2) A minimum of 9 credits in related coursework, including at least one 3 credit course in child or human growth and development;
- (3) Current certification as para II educator by the department of education;
- or (4) A minimum of 1000 hours of supervised child care experience in a licensed child care program, and knowledge of child growth and development obtained through one of the following (1-3):
- (1) Completion of a high school level 2-year career and technical education course in teacher education;
- (2) A 3 credit college course in child or human growth and development;
- (3) Thirty hours of training in child growth and development, granted by an accredited college or university, an authorized provider of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training or obtained through documented life experience, including experience with the same age children the associate teacher supervises, such as a family child care provider, service as a foster parent, work as a school teacher, work as a camp counselor and experience as a group leader for children in sports or other activities, such as scouts or little league, or closely related experience.
