The Director of Supplier Quality provides leadership for Supplier Quality to the site leadership team, business units, and functional departments. Provide leadership in implementing Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval as part of a comprehensive new product introduction process. Provide leadership to provide synergy with other sites within ESA for Process consistent Quality Management System related to supplier quality, methodologies for measuring and improving customer satisfaction, continual improvement and Lean philosophies in support of the site strategic plan and objectives. Responsibilities and Tasks (listed in bullet format) in order of priority to be successful Supplier Quality Leadership

Working with the Vice President of Quality and site leads to establish supplier quality objectives and direction Lead the Supplier Quality team to effectively drive supplier performance Responsible for performance and review of FAIs from suppliers Responsible for Supplier Development process definition and implementation Define metrics to measure performance. Provide information to site leader leadership and Quality Management on the effectiveness of the Management System Define and implement processes for continual improvement. Act as liaison with Procurement as interface with the supply base.

Continuous Improvement:

Support a systematic approach to process management and improvement. Promote continual improvement in Supplier Quality key business processes.

Act as Executive Champion for the following improvement activities:

Lean Six Sigma Management System Enhancements Root Cause and Corrective Action

Customer Satisfaction:

Maintain measures of customer satisfaction through effective management of suppliers.

Ensure customer expectations are communicated throughout the Supplier Quality Organization. Identify process improvement opportunities based on customer information.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree is required Specific Degree Field Required: Business, Quality Management, Engineering, or related field Training Pre-requisites (Within One Year of Taking Position):

ESD Safety Training, as dictated by Safety Department Specialized Processes:

Train the Trainer Internal Audit FRACAS Material Search ERP System

Preferred Certifications/Licenses:

Certified Quality Manager Black Belt Certification Professional Engineer

Trained in Facilitation skills. Experience with Supplier interaction. Ability to handle Customer interactions professionally. Participates in an External Quality Organization. Experience with Process Improvement programs. Experience with QC Tools. Experience with QM Tools. QMS Experience. Knowledge of SPC. Knowledge of Design of Experiments.
