The Biomedical Technician operates sophisticated test equipment and instrumentation for inspections, performance tests, and periodic maintenance/repairs of medical equipment. The testing data acquired from said testing is analyzed and may be prepared for reports. The Biomedical Technician has a thorough understanding of biomedical equipment commonly used in general care areas. The Biomedical Technician may be exposed to or responsible for modalities such as life-support and advanced equipment that will prepare them for the Senior Biomedical Technician role.
