Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Technician to join our team at Providence Health & Services. As a Biomedical Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, electrical safety inspections, periodic maintenance, performance testing, and major and minor repairs of medical equipment in assigned areas of the hospital and external/retail clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate sophisticated test equipment and instrumentation for inspections, performance tests, and periodic maintenance/repairs of medical equipment.
  • Analyze testing data acquired from said testing and prepare reports.
  • Have a thorough understanding of biomedical equipment commonly used in general care areas.
  • Be exposed to or responsible for modalities such as life-support and advanced equipment that will prepare them for the Senior Biomedical Technician role.
  • Perform tasks outlined in Associate Biomedical Technician.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or equivalent education/experience.
  • 3 years of experience in repair of biomedical equipment.
