National Division

Shimmicks National Division operates throughout the central and eastern U.S. Comprised of legacy companies, such as Morrison Knudsen, Washington Group, and others, this division has decades-long history of delivering successful transportation, transit, mining infrastructure, and water resources projects. In addition to state DOTs and transit agencies, the National Division has delivered more than $5 billion in work for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, primarily in the water resources (dams, reservoirs, locks, levees) sector. The National Division is delivering Oklahoma Turnpike Authoritys first build-finance project, the $260 million Gilcrease Expressway project in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversees the management of the monitoring and evaluation process to ensure that Shimmick quality management systems are being followed and evidence is recorded and maintained.
  • Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies.
  • Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization.
  • Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trends.
  • Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
  • May have budget responsibilities.
  • Manages the coordination of activities of a group or department with responsibility for results.
  • In some instances, may be responsible for functional area and may not have direct reports.


Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership and managing teams
  • Experience with USACE (United States Army Corp of Engineers), NAVFAC (Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command), and/or Air Force projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior quality in constuction or mechanical engineering experience
  • Experience in construction work sequencing, productivity, preparation and maintenance of detailed construction schedules.
  • Change management experience
  • PE (Professional Engineer) License preferred

Additional Information:

  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

The salary range for this position is between $150,000 to $190,000 depending on experience and/or education.

The Company also provides employer paid STD, LTD, basic life and AD&D, and an Employee Assistance Program. These benefits are available to all employees working more than 20 hours per week. Employees working less than 20 hours per week are eligible for medical, dental and vision coverage as well as EAP services.
