About this role
Human Resources Representative is responsible for recording and verifying a high volume of employee personnel files and human resource transactions. Processes employee information into the system to include approving transactions, resolving issues, and researching records. Works closely with all departments to ensure integrity of personnel data. Performs file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained. Calculates and enters various types of compensation adjustments.

What a day of a Human Resources Representative looks like:
  • Generates system reports and integrations. Enters and edits data for demographics, education, work locations, and assignments in the system for employees.
  • Processes I-9 verifications, hires, and terminations in the system.
  • Prepares and submits responses for employment verification and unemployment compensation forms.
  • Tracks transcripts submitted to the Office of Human Resources for employment purposes and enters degree information into system.
  • Determines need of, and submits orders for office supplies, equipment, and materials.
  • Prepares and reviews documents for accuracy and completeness. Generates audit reports and validates data.
  • Responds to complex inquiries from all levels of employees or external sources regarding a variety of questions, such as clarification of College or campus policy and procedures
  • Troubleshoots software, recommends changes, and participates in testing and implementation activities.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED with additional training related to the position
  • One year of related experience
Knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Office Professional or similar application
Skilled in:
  • Delivering a high level of customer service
  • Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
  • Performing with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to:
  • Organize and prioritize multiple, competing priorities to maximize personal and team effectiveness
  • Interact in a positive manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of service

The minimum base pay for this position starts at $15.78/ hr; however, the offer may vary based on the candidate's education and experience.
