Defines the organization's future business direction by leading the development and execution of strategic initiatives, long-term growth strategies, and business development.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities
Leads the development and implementation of business and growth strategies.
Works with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for organic improvements to drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and cash flow enhancement.
Interfaces with key stakeholders to define, launch, and drive strategic and operational initiatives, including developing and implementing high-impact business strategies.
Directs the development of business and process analytics used for strategic business process improvement initiatives.
Develops and leads cross-functional strategic initiative projects. Works closely with project teams to accomplish project objectives and execute business strategies.
Identifies inorganic growth strategies and capability opportunities for the business.
Supports priority business development projects, including enterprise strategies, acquisitions and integrations, and divestitures.
Translates complex data into executive and board-level presentations to articulate process improvement options and recommendations.
Nature and Scope
Solutions require analysis and investigation.
Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact on the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.
Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.
Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.
Education And Experience
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
