About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Global Financing and Investment Relations, you will play a crucial role in financing our mission to lead in full-value-chain battery solutions for a sustainable future. You will assess financial viability, risks, and profitability by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. You will also develop and maintain relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions. Your work within the finance department will directly impact our strategic goals and contribute to our position as a global leader in battery technology. The role is remote that we are looking for someone located nearby New York City, NY.

What You Will Do
  • Conduct financial analysis and feasibility studies for potential projects, including evaluating financial viability, risks, and returns.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess project profitability, cash flow projections, and investment returns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project data and information, and provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Prepare project financing proposals, including loan applications, investment memorandums, and financial presentations.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, such as banks, investors, and financial institutions, to secure project financing and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial performance, and provide regular reports to management.
  • Identify and assess financial risks associated with projects and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to project finance, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls related to project finance.
What You Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (CFA, CPA) is preferred.
  • Over 8 years of proven experience in financial institutions, i.e. Structuring financing or Project Financing in commercial banks or investment banks.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial principles, concepts, and practices, as well as financial markets and instruments.
  • A strong understanding of financial analysis and modeling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies is a plus.
